The Edmonton Oilers have had a lot of moving parts this off-season and with the regular season just around the corner, it appears the moves, although slowing down, may not be done just yet.
According to Kurt Leavins of the Edmonton Journal, the Oilers have a one year-deal in place with forward Ryan McLeod worth 800k.
However, the deal won't be signed until Edmonton can find a trading partner that wants to take on McLeod. It's looking like it will be another sign and trade.
McLeod, 22, has 9 goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 71 games played with the Oil last season.
As a result of McLeod's impending departure, Edmonton is set to bring a veteran forward to camp, Evan Rodrigues is the player they'd like to bring in.
Hopefully this works out for both sides. After all, McLeod is only 22.
