Breaking News - Sonny Milano signs with an Eastern Conference team
Sonny Milano waited all summer for find a team willing to take a chance on him. Ultimately the Calgary Flames elected to give Milano a professional tryout. Many expected Milano to make the most of his opportunity.
Unfortunately Milano did the exact opposite and was extremely disappointing throughout both camp and the preseason. The Flames opted to not waste a contract spot on Milano and never offered him a contract.
Tonight though according to Elliotte Friedman the Washington Capitals have agreed to a one-year deal with Milano.
Hearing Sonny Milano will be signing with WASH. He does need to clear waiversso he can start in AHL Hershey. Sounds like a one-year, one-way deal
This signing does provide the Capitals with some additional scoring depth and only time will tell if Milano can stick.
