Buffalo Sabres expected name their next captain, favourite candidate revealed
As training cap gets underway and teams get organized, it is the opportunity for organizations to identify their leadership group. It appears that the Buffalo Sabres might be addressing their captain vacancy before the season starts and it looks like Kyle Okposo might be the front runner. The Sabres have not had a captain since they finally moved on from Jack Eichel last November.
Okposo seems like a likely candidate since he is one of the few skaters with quite a bit of experience. Kyle has played in over nine hundred games in the NHL. He has spent the last six seasons with the Sabres organization. On a young and rebuilding organization, this seems like a good match. The youth within the organization can learn from Okposo both on and off the ice.
