Buffalo Sabres to restrict ticket access for outside residents
We've seen National Hockey League teams restrict tickets access to outside fan bases when they're battling for the Stanley Cup, but it's not a common thing to do during the regular season. In fact, it doesn't make sense to restrict ticket sales during the regular season. That won't stop one NHL team though.
According to NHL Breakers on Instagram, the Buffalo Sabres are going to restrict access to tickets for residents outside of Buffalo during the regular season; take a look.
This comes after some Sabres players have said they're embarrassed to see the amount of away fans invade their arena during home games, thus resulting in the restriction of ticket sales.
Apparently, this all came to a boiling point on February 21st of last season when former Sabres captain Ryan O'Reilly came back as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs and scored a hat trick.
Again, restricting access to tickets for fans outside of Buffalo doesn't make any sense, honestly, it sounds like Buffalo is whining about the state of their team, instead, they should try building a winning team and finding players that want to not only make the playoffs but go far.
To be honest, the Sabres doing this is quite ridiculous.
