CHL Top Prospects game is highlighted by two players dropping the gloves for a spirited tilt
On Wednesday night the CHL held their annual Top Prospects game, this year's event was held in Langley British Columbia. The game offers draft eligible players an opportunity to showcase their skills against the top draft eligible talent in the country. Last night's game didn't disappoint at all.
There was plenty of skill on full display, but the most exciting moment in the entire game came early in the 3rd period when Kalan Land and Alex Pharand dropped the gloves. The two squared off for what turned out to be a sloppy but exciting fight, in a game that is usually highlighted by big goals. The two exchanged solid shots until Pharand eventually wrestled Lind to the ground.
For the draft hopefuls they opted to display their talents in another way. Both players look like they have bright futures in the NHL. Lind has 41 points in 39 games this season, while Pharand has 28 points in 41 games. It's great to see young prospects keeping the art of fighting alive.
