Calgary Flames connected to two big name trade targets
The Calgary Flames may have the potential to be high-powered offensively, with Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazeem Kadri. But Brad Treliving isn't finished re-tooling the team just yet.
Sources say that the Flames may be in on Josh Anderson or Brock Boeser at the deadline:
We know that recently the Vancouver Canucks gave Brock Boeser permission to seek a trade with other teams.
Would the Calgary Flames be a good start? Chris Tanev and Jacob Markstrom have found their home here so far, so familiar faces would be a motivating factor one would think.
Given his current situation, a change of scenery would be ideal since Boudreau is in the hot seat.
With the Minnesota Wild being connected to Boeser recently, I wouldn't put it past the Winger to explore the market.
Also, Treliving might make a move on a Winger they didn't get a chance to pick up in the Sean Monahan trade with Josh Anderson.
Anderson hasn't found the touch he lost since his career year in 2018-2019 with a career-best 47 points.
With Josh Anderson available, Brad can make a deal that didn't up happen before, and with power-forwards in demand and Milan Lucic in decline, it'll be interesting to see how Treliving makes his moves this season.
