Colorado Avalanche could be without core player for the entire season
It's hard to imagine an NHL franchise that has endured more injuries than the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche. Many of the players out of the lineup made a significant impact in last years cup run. Head coach Jared Bednar gave an update on the team's injury woes and some of the updates were not encouraging.
Gabe Landeskog, Bowe Byram, Darren Helm, and Josh Manson are still out long-term. Landeskog may miss the rest of the season. Martin Kaut left the game against Nashville last week and he is expected to be out for weeks. There is some good news for Av's fans. Cogliano will play in the teams next game and star forward Nathan MacKinnon is close to returning to the lineup.
