The Chicago Blackhawks drafted their next franchise cornerstone when they picked generational talent Connor Bedard first overall in this years draft. Bedard is not only touted as the next great player to grace the National Hockey League, but everywhere he goes he sells tickets and Chicago is no different.
According to Greg Wyshynski a senior writer at ESPN, the Blackhawks have seen a massive season ticket sale increase since Bedard became a part of the organization, so much so in fact they're seeing their projected revenue figures for the 2023-24 season rise significantly; take a look.
The Connor Bedard Effect 💰💰💰
The
@NHLBlackhawks
tell ESPN that they have nearly doubled both full and partial season tickets sales. They are also now expecting 26% higher revenue growth over their initial projections for the 2023-24 season. My story:
The Blackhawks have almost doubled their both their full and partial season ticket sales this season already while already seeing their revenue grow more than 25% over their season projections.
Bedard is the next hot commodity in the NHL and people are clamouring to see the youngster in action. I don't think we'll see the United Center half full for many games this season. All because Connor Bedard is a Chicago Blackhawk.
