On Friday night the Calgary Flames were visiting the Buffalo Sabres for a game at the KeyBank Center. During the 1st period of play defenseman Erik Gudbranson suffered a cut and had to leave to get some repairs. This caused him to miss the start of the 2nd period.
Flames head coach was asked about Gudbranson's delay to the 2nd period after the game. They were trying to find a doctor to stitch him up. « I could have done it in five minutes. I sew horses and cows up in ten minutes.» Sutter said.
He might've not been able to show off his stitching skills last night but Sutter sure can coach a hockey team. He has the Flames rolling picking up points in 8 of their last 10 games going 6-2-2 in that stretch. Picking up a point in last nights loss 1-0 to Buffalo in overtime the Flames are 1st in the Pacific with 82 points.
