The Department of Player Safety has announced a suspension New York Rangers defender Jacob Trouba.
Yesterday when the New York Rangers took on the Vegas Golden Knights at Madison Square Garden, nearly everyone watching missed an elbow delivered by Rangers defender Jacob Trouba on Golden Knights forward
Pavel Dorofeyev.
Earlier today, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced Trouba would have a hearing; their punishment just came down. Take a look.
NY Rangers' Jacob Trouba has been suspended for two games for elbowing Vegas' Pavel Dorofeyev.
It was a sneaky elbow to be sure and Dorofeyev left the game and did not return.
I'm very surprised there was a punishment for Trouba on this one, given his history, you'd think there wouldn't be.
It seems as though, at least in this case, the Department of Player Safety got one right with this two game suspension for Trouba
