Detroit Red Wings forward cut badly by blocking a shot with his face
Hockey players are known as the toughest players in the world. But there is almost no one who could take a puck in the face and walk it off. That's exactly what happened to the Detroit Red Wings' forward Matt Luff.
With the Red Wings leading the game 2-1 in the 3rd period, Matt Luff tried to get in the way of a shot from a member of the Wild. Unfortunately for Luff, the puck slides up his stick and strikes him directly in the face.
After being hit Luff falls right to the ice. Luff throws off his gloves and is cut badly. Luff made his way to the bench holding his face and left the ice. Luff didn't return for the rest of the game and the Red Wings held onto the lead to win 2-1.
