Drunk referee forced to be removed from a girls hockey game
For those of us who have had the opportunity to play organized hockey at any level, we've all experienced it but until you see it for yourself you wouldn't believe it happens. While some referees believe they're bigger than the game and show up to show off, the video below shows an entirely different perspective.
This game featuring what appears to girls under 16 game, which had a referee come to the rink to work the game absolutely obliterated.
As the video shows, during a break in play in which a faceoff is about to occur the referee is seen skating to the dot kicking the puck towards it. As he approaches the dot, he falls twice and is checked on by his fellow official. During the ensuing faceoff which he appears to have trouble completing, he appears to even trip a player.
He was removed from the game shortly after for the safety of the girls and of course himself.
