Yesterday University of Minnesota forward Rhett Pitlick learned the importance of timing his celebration. After scoring a goal to make the score 2-0 in the second period, Pitlick imitated the celebration. Unfortunately this wasn't on the game winning goal, and honestly it wasn't even on a very nice goal. The puck clearly deflects off a defender before beating the goalie.
Even more embarrassing? After Pitlick tosses his stick into the crowd, it ends up landing in the lap of a fan from the other team. That fan then sends Pitlick's stick flying back onto the ice. For his trouble Pitlick was also awarded a 10-minute misconduct for his embarrassing celebration.
