Evander Kane scores an empty net goal and then mocks the Los Angeles crowd
The Edmonton Oilers headed south to LA for a must win Game 6. The Oilers were in tough, as their top defender, Darnell Nurse, was out of the lineup serving his 1-game suspension for head butting.
Tyson Barrie gave the Oilers a 3-2 lead midway through the 3rd period. The Kings were forced to pull the goal late to try and get even. But with the goalie pulled Evander Kane was able to get the puck, get in all alone and score the empty net goal to make the score 4-2, which is how the game would end.
After the goal though, Kane, who is already not the most popular person in California, decided to taunt the LA crowd. Kane held up 7 fingers, to signal the series was going 7-games.
While it is clear Kane is not looking to make friends, we will see if the Oilers can close out the Kings. Game 7 goes Saturday in Edmonton.
