Zdeno Chara announced his retirement from the NHL earlier this week after 25 seasons. Chara's physical size was a deterrent for most players throughout his entire career. Chara used his incredible size and strength to put muscle and over power almost everyone on the ice.
Through his rough exterior fans sometimes forget the human side of Chara. The Bruins lost the 2013 Stanley Cup to the Chicago Blackhawks in a heartbreaking game 6. Disappointed after the loss what did Chara do? Well according to this photo he went to an amusement park in the rain and rode a ride in one of the best photos you'll ever see.
In honor of Chara retiring probably my favorite story I ever «broke» at Barstool: a friend sent me this pic of him crammed into a Rowdy Rooster at Canobie Lake park the morning after losing the 2013 Cup. No smile. It's raining. Saddest pic ever.
