Former Blue Jackets player takes a shot at John Tortorella after he's hired to coach the Flyers
Brandon Dubinsky has been on and off of Twitter recently, sharing his displeasure with local Columbus businesses and former coaches. Dubinsky's bench boss in New York and Columbus has found a new home in Philadelphia, with a $ 4 million AAV, for 4 years.
Dubi wasn't holding back on Twitter when he addressed the hiring:
After reports of tensions between Dubinsky and Tortorella in New York and Columbus, by Aaron Portzline it's not surprising he's not a fan of this hire. It's obvious that Torts and Dubi have a strained history and reconciliation seems out of the question.

Under Tortorella, the Blue Jackets finished with a record of 227-166-54 -- making him the winningest coach in franchise history -- and qualified for the playoffs in four of his six seasons. They failed to advance past the first round each time except for 2019, when Columbus swept top-seeded Tampa Bay in an opening-round shocker.
Tortorella a known hot-head, with multiple gaffes in his time in Columbus, is poised to turn another franchise around, and possibly lose a few youngsters in the process.
Here's some of what Dubinsky had to say in Portzline's piece:
«Listen, I did what I was asked because that's my job,» Dubinsky said. «I wasn't happy with it. I also had a responsibility to my teammates. That's how I looked at it. But I stopped looking at it like coming to the rink was something fun to do, and I started seeing it as a chore.
«All the things I loved about playing hockey and being in the NHL, it all went away. Everything just became harder. It's not for anybody else's business fans, media, anybody to know there's something going on beneath the surface. That's how I've always done things. I don't air dirty laundry, so that's how it was handled.»
