Yesterday was a banner day in the National Hockey League, with two Michigan goals for the first time in history. Some fans are divided about whether or not the lacrosse goal should count.
Now former NHL forward Jay Rosehill has made a bold statement, explaining that he thinks the Michigan will soon be banned; take a look.
On one hand, it kind of makes sense, because the move itself borders on being a high stick, but it's something that only the most skilled players can seem to pull of which makes it one of the most exciting moves in hockey.
On the other hand, if Rosehill is right and the NHL does make it illegal at a certain point, are they over stepping? They should be encouraging exciting plays to draw fans to the game.
It would be something I could see Gary Bettman doing because he seems to want to make the NHL less attractive to fans, but we'll have to wait and see.
