Former NHLer passes away at 53-years-old
We have some sad news to report on in the hockey world on Friday morning.
After a battle with cancer, former National Hockey League forward Reginald Savage has passed away at the age of 53.
Savage spent the majority of his professional hockey career in the American Hockey League and IHL, as well as some time in European leagues.
The 1988 15th overall pick appeared in 34 games with the Washington Capitals and Quebec Nordiques across parts of three NHL seasons where he had 12 points (five goals, seven assists), 28 penalty minutes and was a minus-two.
The thoughts of everyone here at Blade of Steel are with Reginald Savage's family and friends at this difficult time.
