Former islanders GM Garth Snow breaks his silence, says ownership and new general manager stole his ideas
Former longtime New York Islanders general manager, Garth Snow made headlines yesterday after interviewing with the New York Post about not only his time on Long Island, but how the Islanders and current general manager Lou Lamoriello began implementing all the things snow had suggested right after he left the organization.
Now, according to the New York Post and Isles Fix on Twitter, Snow had this to say about the owners and Lamoriello; take a look. There were things I'd recommend that got shot down. And then I chuckled when Lou [Lamoriello] got hired and well, they're gonna go do the things I recommended.» - Garth Snow #Isles
It sounds like Snow has a bone to pick with the Islanders Organization, although the way he's choosing to do it sounds a tad petty.
The shackles are off and Snow is really letting his side of the story be known for the first time since leaving the organization. If this is true by any means, Snow has a fair gripe against the organization.
