Former player signs an autograph as ''f*** Babcock''
Mike Babcock is a former coach that's been mired in controversy. He hasn't coached in the National Hockey League since the 2019-20 NHL season. Since then, a multitude of stories have come out about his coaching tactics and how he treats his players as a whole, from his time with the Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs, the stories aren't good.
One former NHL Blueliner has a particular hatred for Babcock that extends beyond normalcy, so much so that it's part of his signature. Take a look:
Mike Commodore, has a disdain for Babcock unlike any other current or former player I've ever seen. Who wouldn't when you blame for ending your career? Commodore has never been one to shy away from telling people how he feels either, so this doesn't seem out of character for him.
Part of me thinks Commodore is using the #f***babs in an effort to be funny and part of me thinks this is a little too far. I get it, though. If Babcock is the reason his my hockey career ended, I would be mad too.
If nothing else, at least this fan has a lasting memory.
