Frightening scene in Ottawa
During tonight's Ottawa versus Chicago Blackhawks game, Parker Kelly hit Connor Murphy from behind during the 1st period. Murphy's face struck the dasher board and he was knocked unconscious.
Medical staff from both teams attended to Murphy before he was removed from the ice on a stretcher.
According to those in attendance Murphy did give a thumbs up on his way off the ice.
Parker Kelly was assessed a 5-minute major and a game misconduct.
