Girlfriend of NHL Player accused of being a 'gold digger', she hilariously replies
As kids, chances are you grew up dreaming of one day playing in the NHL and winning the Stanley Cup. However, for those of us lucky enough to make it, that dream comes along with the possibility of becoming a millionaire. Along with the money often comes people interested in taking advantage of that money.
Zack Werenski was one of those lucky enough to achieve his dreams. The 25 year-old is set for life after signing a 6-year $57,500,000 million dollar contract extension with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Along with the money comes attention and haters.
Zack Werenski and his girlfriend, Odette Peters took to social media to share some photos of themselves, and unfortunately the trolls were waiting. One fan on Twitter Instagram decide to accuse Werenski's girlfriend of being a gold digger.
She's only with you because you make over $9 million a year.

Odette gradutated from Michigan State Universtiy with a Bachelor of Science in the Neuroscience program in 2021, so I'd say she's far from a gold digger at this point. With a promising career in the medical field, it's clear these two, who have been together for years are still going strong.
