When it comes to being an NHL Head Coach, everyone has an expiry date. For some that comes a lot sooner than others. The New York Islanders headed into this season with extremely high hopes, hopes that unfortunately haven't been met.
The Islanders currently sit with a record of 10-7-7, and despite being 5-1-4 in their last 10 games, fans aren't happy. Earlier this year fans began to call for the job of General Manager Lou Lamoriello. Tonight those same fans turned their attention to Head Coach Lane Lambert.
With just over 8 minutes left in the 3rd period the Islanders held a 4-1 lead. However that lead not only evaporated, the Islanders ultimately fell 5-4 in overtime. After the game, fans made it clear how they felt.
