IIHF announces embarassing attendance from Day 1 of the World Juniors

Hockey fans were heartbroken this past December, when the International Ice Hockey Federation was forced to cancel the 2022 World Junior Hockey Championships. The cancellation occured due to a COVID outbreak within two of it's teams.
After much deliberation with all countries involved the IIHF announced the tournament would return to Alberta to be completed. However, after day one of the tournament fans would decided they just weren't going to turn out to watch.
Czechia vs Slovakia had 430 fans
Latvia vs Finland had 376 fans
USA vs Germany had 829 fans
Team Canada begins their road to gold this evening and are expecting a full house.
