Injury update on player hit from behind by Edmonton Oilers prospect
Last week Edmonton Oilers prospect Maxim Denezhkin was suspended for 10 games for a hit from behind on Yevgeni Bodrov. The hit occured during second period of a game. After being hit Bodrov immediately began clutching his leg in serious pain.
Denezhkin was initially suspended for 3 games, but had 7 additional games added on due to the severity of the injury. It is now being reported that Bodrov suffered a severely broken leg on the play.
It is expected the severity of the break will keep Bodrov from playing again this season. Hopefully he makes a quick and full recovery from what appears to be a gruesome injury.
