Insider reveals 'alcohol fueled incident' led to Corey Perry's contract termination
For days NHL Insiders have refused to report details of the incident that cost Corey Perry his NHL job. While details were previously scarce, today more information finally became available. Those details finally surfaced today thanks to Frank Seravalli.
Seravalli who runs The Daily Faceoff has never been one to shy away from controversy, today was no different. Today Seravalli shared the following information.
New info from @frank_seravalli: "Sources: An alcohol-fueled incident involving Perry was alleged to have occurred in Nashville on Nov. 17, the night prior to Chicago's game against the Predators, during a Blackhawks-organized corporate event that included sponsors and team employees in attendance."
Perry played the next two games before information returned to the Blackhawks who immediately shut Perry down. This information makes a lot more sense and explains why the Blackhawks were so secretive about the matter.
