The NHL season isn't even two weeks old, but it appears one coach is already on the hot seat. Over the summer it was rumored that the New Jersey Devils considered terminating Lindy Ruff, but his players went to management to try and save their coach's job. Ultimately General Manager, Tom Fitzgerald decided to keep Ruff on as his Head Coach.

But less than two weeks into this year fans have already begun to turn on their coach. Saturday during the Devils launch, fans began to chant "Fire Lindy". This morning on his 32 Thoughts Podcast, Elliotte Friedman revealed that the fans may get their way sooner rather than later.

On the latest episode of 32 Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman says if the #NJDevils don't turn it around fast, you can see a coaching change coming

Marek says when the fans turn on your coach, you have to make the change. You can't put your coach through that. It becomes cruel.

The Devils are currently 0-2-0 with their next game being scheduled for Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. If things don't improve immediately it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ruff terminated by the 10 game mark.
