Is Tim Stutzle interested in signing long-term with the Ottawa Senators? An insider shares the answer
Tim Stutzle was drafted 3rd overall, in 2020 during the NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators.
Stutzle was a pick Ottawa received in the much lamented Erik Karlsson trade, which the Senators won.
His opinion on the topic of staying long-term seems solidified by a quote on 32 Thoughts with Elliott Friedman.
With what Pierre Dorion and the Melnyk's are building it would make sense, as they've recently landed Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux.
Stutzle debuted during the shortened season in 2020, putting up 29 points in 53 games.
He follow up that campaign in 2021-2022, netting 58 points not even reaching his potential.
Given that the Senators' rebuild has been declared "Over" by Pierre Dorion, their Center depth isn't lacking and their period of contention hasn't been achived yet, but will be in reach within the next few years, should the young core develop correctly.
