Jake Muzzin's teammate shares that he's worried about his long-term health after his career ends
Last night Jake Muzzin suffered another injury to his head/neck. This marks the 4th such incident suffered by Muzzin since joining the Maple Leafs. The incident occurred after Muzzin collided with Clayton Keller.
Muzzin immediately crumbled to the ice and was down for a few seconds before skating off the ice under his own power. After taking a quick skate during a TV timeout Muzzin left the game and did not return.
The Leafs couldn't provide an update on Muzzin's condition, but at least one teammate seems to be concerned about Muzzin's long-term health. After the game Mitch Marner provided this emotional response:

That's probably my best friend on this team. It's outside of hockey. It's way bigger. He's got two unbelievable daughters, unbelievable wife, and you just wish the very best for him. You have so much to live for in this life with your family and stuff like that, so hopefully everything's OK with him. And we're very blessed to have an unbelievable medical staff here that takes care of their players very well and knows what to do. So, try and check in with him here soon. Obviously, he's one of my best friends. Brothers, really. So, hopefully he's OK.
With the amount of head/neck injuries Muzzin has sustained it might be time for the veteran warrior to call it a career.
