Arizona Coyotes defeceman Jakob Chychrun has had his name in the rumor mill for the past two seasons since issuing his trade request. After a poor, injury-riddled last season, the Coyotes defenseman is having a bounce back season contributing 7 goals and 27 points in 35 games while averaging 23:04 in ice time.
The ask remains steep from the Coyotes, two first-round draft picks, including one in this year's draft, as well as a prospect. Chychrun has a team-friendly cap hit of only $4.6 million which runs through the 2024-25 season.
Unfortunately for Chychrun he has little say in the matter. His contract doesn't hold no trade clause rights, which means general manager Bill Armstrong can move Chychrun to the team tabling the best offer.
