Unfortunately, the beginning of the season hasn't gone as planned for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Sitting at the bottom of the standings in the Metropolitan with a record of 10-17-5 and just 25 points.
As such, it looks as if the organization is ready to start from scratch, tear the whole thing down and start over. According to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia and TSN, not even Johnny Gaudreau is safe at this point; take a look.
Things are bad in Columbus, but to virtually the entire team on the block including Gaudreau who's a season and a half into a 7-year contract that pays him 9.75 million dollars a season, they must be far worse than anyone thought.
At this point though, it doesn't seem like there's much else to do. The Columbus Blue Jackets have officially put other teams on notice, they're open for business and there's not a trade they won't consider.
