K'Andre Miller gets away with a dangerous hit on Timothy Liljegren
The Toronto Maple Leafs are facing off tonight against the New York Rangers in Toronto. With the Maple Leafs leading the game 1-0 in the 1st period, Rangers' defender K'Andre Miller got away with a very dangerous hit.
As defender Timothy Liljegren attempted to dump in the puck, Miller circles around from behind and delivers a hit to the side of Liljegren. The hit sends Liljegren crashing head first into the boards, but the officials on the ice deemed this a clean hit.
This hit falls into one of two categories, a hit from behind or boarding. Luckily Liljegren was no worse for wear and didn't miss a shift, but this is another example of a missed calls by referees this season.
