The Blackhawks have claimed a defenceman off waivers from the Seattle Kraken, while the Kings have placed a blueliner of their own on the wire.
In a bit of surprising news on Wednesday afternoon, there has been a waiver claim in the National Hockey League.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Chicago Blackhawks have claimed 31-year-old defenceman
Jaycob Megna off waivers from the Seattle Kraken.
"Blackhawks claim Megna from Seattle" Friedman said.
Megna has only appeared in two games this season, both of which were with Seattle's American Hockey League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds where he's put up one goal and is a plus-three.
In other related news, the Los Angeles Kings have announced that they're placing defenceman
Tobias Bjornfot on waivers after calling up top prospect
Brandt Clarke from the American Hockey League.
"The @LAKings have recalled defenseman Brandt Clarke from the @ontarioreign. In addition, defenseman Tobias Bjornfot has been placed on waivers." The Kings said in a post on X.
Bjornfot, 22, has appeared in one game for the Kings this season and nine for their American Hockey League affiliate, the Ontario Reign, where he has no points.
