LA Kings announce season ending surgery for veteran defenseman
Drew Doughty had seen a career revitalization over the past couple years. He'd seen his offensive numbers climb to what they'd been previously, while also offering a more respectable game defensively. This year Doughty had put up 31 points in 39 games, before injuries derailed his season.
Doughty had even overcome what looked like it could be a serious knee injury earlier this season.
Unfortunately for Doughty his bounce back season has been derailed by a wrist injury. Today the Kings announced that Doughty will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing season ending wrist surgery.
This injury could be a tough loss as the Kings continue to hold down 3rd place in the Pacific Division.
