Leon Draisaitl gets called out for an absolutely embarrassing effort on Sidney Crosby goal (Video)
There was a time when Oilers fans considered Leon Draisaitl the second best player in the world. But it appears those times have come and gone, because Leon is currently on one of the worst six game stretches since his rookie season.
During tonight's game Sidney Crosby scored a goal to give the Penguins a 2 goal lead. But that goal could have been prevented by an effort on the back check by Draisaitl.
After the goal Jay Woodcraft only played Leon for 60 seconds of ice time after the goal. The coach was clearly upset about the effort, but it's clear the Oilers fans were even more upset.
With Jack Campbell showing he may not be a starting goalie it's clear the Oilers need more out of Leon. If they don't get it, McDavid is going to have to score at a record pace to outscore these issues.
