Los Angeles Kings top prospects career could be in jeopardy due to injury
Ahead of the 2022-23 season the Los Angeles Kings received some very troubling news. The Kings drafted Alex Turcotte 5th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and last season the University of Wisconsin product finally broke through to the NHL. In 8 games Turcotte didn't log a point, but in 27 games in the AHL he added 6 goals and 12 assists.
Unfortunately not listed on Turcotte's stat line is the 2 concussions he suffered. The injuries sidelined his season, but appear to be already leaching into this upcoming season.
Kings forward Alex Turcotte did not travel to San Jose for the rookie tournament, and has not been cleared for action after suffering two concussions last season.
The 2 concussions are thought to have not been the first of his career and have some members of the organization very concerned. This offseason it was also announced that Nolan Patrick another former top prospect was expected to miss the entire season due to injury.
Turcotte is a very promising young talent and it would be a terrible outcome if he were to be unable to continue his NHL career due to injury.
