Brad Marchand, love him or hate him, has made a reputation for himself while playing the highest level of hockey. As Connor Ryan of the Boston Sports Journal reports, it doesn't look like this suspension has influenced Marchand to hold his tongue as he nears a return to the Bruins' lineup.
The superstar winger, in no uncertain terms, sounded off on the NHL on Thursday for its handling of his suspension and subsequent appeal, stemming from his actions during a game on February 8th.
I think what I have to take away from this is my threshold is very low right now. So, really, I just have to stay away from anything at all. Which I can do. I've been doing it for a number of years now.
Marchand will certainly be a welcomed addition back into Boston's lineup with 21 goals and 28 assists for 49 points in 39 games this year. It also seems as if Marchand still hasn't changed the way he deals with the media and he'll tell you exactly how he feels, like always.
One has to wonder if he can control his temper next time someone says "nice f***ing save". For the Bruin's sake, I hope he learns to manage his emotions in-game, as his actions can cost his entire team, as we saw with his absence throughout the bulk of February.
