The Minnesota Wild are still playing to lock up home ice advantage for their 1st round matchup against the St. Louis Blues. These are the type of games where teams must balance staying healthy versus playoff seeding. Unfortunately for the Wild tonight icing a full lineup ended up costing them, and it could be big.
During tonight's game against the Colorado Avalanche it appears that Marcus Foligno has suffered a significant injury. As the Wild attempted to clear the zone, Kurtis MacDermid attempted to lay a hit on Foligno, but MacDermid's leg collided with Foligno's knee. The hit immediately sent Foligno to the ice, unable to get to his feet. Medical staff and teammates were forced to help Foligno off the ice.
