Martin St. Louis already having problems with known troublemaker
Since arriving on the scene in Montreal there has been nothing but praise for Martin St. Louis. The former NHL Star has seamlessly transitioned into a Head Coaching role and has fit in perfectly. Last season alone MSL singlehandedly turned around the seasons of both Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.
Now heading into his first full season St. Louis is looking to press the right buttons to try and get his team out of the league's basement. While the goal for the Canadiens likely isn't the playoffs this season, it's to show some true development.
Over the past year there have been stories that Jonathan Drouin wasn't happy with St. Louis last season and it appears that may have trickled over to this season. At today's practice MSL forced Drouin to sit on the bench throughout the entire 30 minute drill.
It's clear that Drouin and St. Louis aren't on the same page and rumors swirled already this summer that Drouin wanted a fresh start. But could it be a situation where that comes to fruition sooner than later? Don't forget Drouin is a Canadien because of his refusal to play for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
