Matthew Tkachuk waits for the linesman to arrive to stop him from having to fight Alex Tuch
Matthew Tkachuk has a reputation around the league as an agitator and a tough guy. But maybe we need to pump the breaks on that tough guy reputation. At least a little.
During today's game between the Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres, Tkachuk decided to throw his weight around. After Tkachuk delivered a big hit on Henri Jokiharju, he was approached by Alex Tuch who had every intention of defending his teammate.
The only problem was Tkachuk was completely unwilling to engage with Tuch. But Tkachuk didn't want anything to do with him, that was until he was close enough to the linesman for the linesman to engage.
The linesman was able to keep Tuch and Tkachuk seperated so that Tuch couldn't get his hands on the Panther's major offseason acquisition.
