Member of the Maple Leafs Core Four trying to make changes to battle debilitating migraines
If you ask anyone who has ever been forced to deal with migraines, they'll tell you just how debilitating they can be. From the light sensitivity, to the throbbing and the nausea, they can stop you right in your tracks. While many people battle this condition we don't often think of professional athletes of having to battle this.
But that's exactly what William Nylander has battled for the last year. It was noted early on that Nylander had appeared to have switched his visor this season, but no one knew why.
It appears though that Nylander made the change for health reasons and not just aesthetic purposes. There were times last year when Nylander was absent from practicing without an explanation.
Hopefully for Nylander's sake the tinted visor continues to offer him some form of relief because he's an incredibly talented player.
