Milan Lucic bumps Andrei Vasilevskiy and forces Ian Cole to defend his goalie
Despite being a bit older, Milan Lucic is still one of the premier heavyweights in the NHL. Because of that more often than not, players will avoid dropping the gloves with the heavyweight. But sometimes something happens over the course of the game that forces someone's hand.
That's what occured during today's matinee between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Calgary Flames. In the 1st period Milan Lucic took an opportunity to bump Andrei Vasilevskiy, and of course one of his teammates came to his defense.
Unfortunately for Ian Cole, it was his job to defend his goalie and that came at a price. Despite having the ability to really hurt Cole, Lucic took it easy on the defender, but for good measure he landed a massive right hand to end the tilt.
