If anyone is a good example of a player having a great start to a career and then somehow falling off a cliff, its Victor Rask.
After putting up 21 goals and 48 points in his second NHL season with the Carolina Hurricanes, its been all downhill from there.
Then after a strange trade that made no sense to anyone at the time, he was then traded to the Minnesota Wild for Nino Niederreiter.
After putting up a total of 52 points in 3 and a half season with the Wild, Rask has now found himself on waivers. Rask is on the final year of a deal that deals a $4,000,000 cap hit.
