Morgan Rielly calls the referee a 'f***ing idiot' after blown call
Late in the 3rd period of the Toronto Maple Leafs versus the Nashville Predators, Morgan Rielly received a high stick from Mark Jankowski. The high stick occured directly in front of the referee, but somehow the referee didn't see it.
As Rielly rose from the ice he looked at the referee and was told there was no penalty on the play. That's when Rielly looked at the referee and completely surprised the camera captures him look directly at the referee and speaks.
Luckily for Rielly he didn't receive a penalty on the play and one of the linesmen actually caught the high stick. After the referees conferred Jankowski was given a 4-minute double minor for high sticking. The Maple Leafs would go onto score on the powerplay and win the game.
