Multiple fights start after Jacob Trouba delivers a HUGE hit
During the second period of tonight's game between the New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks, Jacob Trouba delivered one of his patented huge hits. With the Rangers trailing 3-0, Jacob Trouba was looking for a way to spark his team and he did that the best way he knows how.
As Andreas Athanasiou carries the puck out of the Blackhawks zone, Trouba lines him up and delivers a huge hit. The hit immediately draws a crowd with Jonathan Toews dropping the gloves with Trouba. On the play Barclay Goodrow and Connor Murphy also dropped the gloves.
After all was said and done Jonathan Toews found himself with 17 minutes of penalties. 2 for instigating, 5 for fighting and a 10 minute instigating misconduct. While all 3 other players received 5 for fighting.
On his way off the ice a frustrated Trouba screamed at his bench, while throwing his helmet against the boards. It's clear for the second night in a row the captain was trying to fire up his team.
Unfortunately for the Rangers it wasn't enough as they fell 5-2 to the Hawks.
