Multiple players ejected after wild scene in final minute of Gold Medal Game
Multiple players have been ejected in the final minute of the gold medal game as things turn ugly between the US and Sweden.
What was supposed to be the happiest moment of some of these young players careers went south quickly. With the United States leading the game 6-2, tempers became to flare leading to the ejection of multiple players.
With play whistled dead at center ice a member of the Swedish team starts to wildly throw gloved punches at a member of the US Team. As a teammate flies to his defense officials try and get things under control.
The play resulted in Lane Hutson, Rutger McGroarty, Anton Johansson and Noah Ostlund all receiving game misconducts and being ejected from the game. A very intense end to this impressive tournament.
