Must See - Referees overturn a penalty
This is something that you don't see very often, I actually don't remember ever seeing it. During tonight's Leafs versus Devils game, we saw a very rare moment occur.
As Tomas Tatar tried to tried to break in against Petr Mrazek it appears that he blew a tire, but the referee closest to the play immediately threw up his arm to call Mark Giordano for the trip.
After the play Giordano calmly pleaded his case before heading to the box. The referees eventually came together and after a brief discussion they rescinded the penalty. This is a rarity but it's great to see the referees make sure they got the call right.
