Last night the St Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche continued their best of 7 series. During the 1st period of last night's game, a collision occured between Nazem Kadri and Jordan Binnington. The Blues believe Kadri initiated the contact with Calle Rosen to ensure he ran over Binnington.
After the collision, Binnington was forced out of the game and the Blues would go on to lose 5-2. After the game, while Kadri was getting interviewed by ESPN, Binnington threw a water bottle at Kadri from off camera.
Less than 24-hours later the NHL Department of Player Safety has come to a decision on the incident. It appears the only player receiving a punishment from the situation will be Binnington. The NHL has deemed Kadri's contact to be incidental, while Binnington's post game actions were intentional.
