NHL Player Safety finally makes a decision on Alexis Lafreniere's headshot on Victor Hedman
During the 2nd period of Game 6, Alexis Lafreniere landed a controversial hit to the head of Victor Hedman. As Hedman was bent over to make a play, Lafreniere blindsided him clipping him in the jaw. Hedman was visibly shaken on the play and was forced to head down the tunnel.
Hedman was forced to undergo concussion protocol testing before he could return to the game. Hedman would return for the 3rd period. Lafreniere would not receive a penalty on the play.
Now two days later the NHL Department of Player Safety has finally rendered a decision on the hit.
No hearing (so no suspension) for Alexis Lafrenière. The @NYRangers forward hit Victor Hedman hard during last game. Hedman left but came back in the third.
So despite this hit meeting all the criteria it appears George Parros didn't feel like doing his job again.
