NHL announces the Hart Trophy Winner
Tonight the NHL held their annual NHL Awards. With all the awards but one announced all that remained with the Hart Trophy.
The Hart Memorial Trophy, originally known as the Hart Trophy is an annual award for the most valuable player to his team in the National Hockey League, voted by the members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.
The NHL had already announced the 3 nominees (Connor McDavid, Igor Shesterkin and Auston Matthews). All 3 players had incredible seasons, but it was Matthews who took home the award.
Matthews received 119 first place votes to take home the award.
